Describe the gross and microscopic anatomy of the digestive system and understand nutrient digestion and absorption of food components.ħ. Identify the gross and microscopic anatomical components of the respiratory system and be able to describe the physiology of the regulatory mechanisms of this system.Ħ. Describe the gross and microscopic anatomy and the physiology of the regulation of the cardiovascular system.ĥ. Discuss the composition of blood and the role of each of its components and be able to explain the fundamentals of immunity.Ĥ. Describe the gross and microscopic anatomy of the major endocrine glands and discuss their associated hormones, and the mechanisms involved in their regulation.ģ. Examine and explain the function of the special senses, including taste, hearing, equilibrium and sight.Ģ. Prerequisite: Human Anatomy & Physiology I.ġ. Topics will include special senses, endocrine system, blood, cardiovascular system, respiratory system, digestive system, urinary system and reproductive system. This is the second semester of a two-semester course that examines the structure and functions of the human body emphasizing and building upon the concepts learned in Human Anatomy & Physiology I.
